How are digital downloads delivered?

Digital downloads are products you add to your Pricelists or Packages from the Downloads tab when building either.

When purchased, these download products are fulfilled by Proofpix. We will email your clients a direct link to their downloads.

Proofpix applies a near lossless compression to your images when you upload them which results in smaller file sizes when downloaded. The size and resolution of the images is not altered. Occasionally, the compression will be noticeable in your images and may have to be fulfilled directly by you.

To immediately send your downloads when orders are received, set the Immediately send downloads to customer setting in the Event settings > Delivery and pick-up section.

The Immediately send downloads to customer setting applies to paid orders only. Cash/check/offline payments or zero-dollar orders do not count as paid orders. Click the Send downloads regardless of payment status if you want to override this protective setting.

The Immediately send downloads to customer setting won't apply if any image within your downloads requires composite approval (when using greenscreen/png and backgrounds).

If downloads are not released automatically you will have to manually send them. You can do this 2 ways:

To release orders individually, go into each order from the Orders page and click the orange, Release downloads button.

To release orders in bulk, perform and search from the Orders page, then select the orders you want to work with from the returned results, then click the Release all downloads button at the bottom of the page.

This will send downloads ONLY for orders that actually have purchased them, so don't worry if you selected orders that did not purchase any downloads. These will simply be ignored.

Download links will expire after 30 days. You can release them again to create new links, if necessary.
