How to give access to events when you are not provided customer emails

If you were provided a CSV file that does not contain your customer email addresses then we cannot create customers and link them to their galleries during the CSV import.
Instead, we simply password-protect each gallery and you can disseminate the passwords using one of the following methods:

Student Id as gallery password

If your CSV includes a Student Id column, then you can use it to password-protect the student's gallery.

While managing your event, do the following:
Click Event data
Click Upload CSV
In the the next screen, click Use GalleryMagic and select One gallery per student
Click Password-protect galleries and hide them from other customers
Click Use Student ID as password

You must be using a School type account for this option

QR codes

You can generate QR codes from your existing galleries and print them out and bring them with you to the event.

While managing your event, do the following:
Click Event data
Click on SortMagic QR codes
On the following page, click Show password and url in printout
Click the Print all button to download a PDF of your QR codes

Your QR codes will be prepared and they will be sent to your email. Once received, you can print them out and bring them with you to the event and give them to you clients to bring home with them.

Pro Tip: If you can get your clients to take a picture of the QR code sheet with their own smart phone, then they are less likely to lose it.

Printing out QR codes has two more benefits:

The app has a built-in QR scanner which makes selecting the galleries in the app faster and more accurate.
Taking a photo of the subject holding their QR code with your real camera gives you a face-to-name backup in case of software, hardware or human error.
